In 2022, while traveling to Monrovia, Liberia on a community mission assignment, I met Pastor Daykah along the way. What began as a simple conversation quickly became a divine connection. Pastor Daykah shared his heart for faith, family, and education, and it was clear that God had aligned our paths for a greater purpose.
During that same mission, I visited the school Pastor Daykah founded — New Life Christian Academy of Excellence (NLCA) in the Gbengba Town Christian Community of Liberia. Walking the halls, meeting the students, and witnessing their determination to learn despite incredible hardship was life-changing. Their resilience, hope, and unwavering belief in the power of education stayed with me long after I returned home.
Since that visit, the burden to help has not lifted. The students at NLCA reminded me that education is not just a privilege — it is a lifeline. Many of these children face poverty, loss, and daily challenges, yet they rise with hope because they believe education can change their future.
Our mission for the 2024-2025 school year is clear: Fully sponsor 20 students so they can remain in school and continue pursuing the dreams God has placed in their hearts. To date, 8 students have been sponsored. 12 students still need support to stay enrolled and continue their education.
